Calathea Rufibarba is a unique indoor ornamental plant from the prayer plant family (Marantaceae). It is well-known for its long, wavy, lance-shaped green leaves with velvety undersides in deep maroon. New leaves emerge in a striking pinkish-red color, adding to its beauty. Like other Calatheas, the leaves move with the day-night cycle (nyctinasty), folding upward at night. It brings a tropical, stylish look indoors and is safe for pets (non-toxic).

- Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight. Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels slightly dry. Use filtered/rainwater if possible. Humidity: Needs high humidity (above 50%). Mist leaves regularly or keep near a humidifier. Temperature: Prefers warm conditions (18–26°C). Avoid cold drafts. Soil: Well-draining mix rich in organic matter (cocopeat + compost + perlite mix). Fertilizer: Feed monthly in growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer (diluted). Special Note: Wipe leaves occasionally to prevent dust and help photosynthesis.
